California Summit is a great place for families and outdoors enthusiasts. This Aliso Viejo neighborhood is close to award winning schools, beaches, and trails as well as several places to shop and dine. Residents here enjoy the panoramic views of the city lights and the Saddleback Mountain Range.
California Summit homes were built by Kaufman & Broad and there are 190 houses with five floor plans. The smallest, Skyline, has 1,356 square feet, two bedrooms, three baths, and a two-car garage. The largest, Horizon, has 2,090 square feet, three bedrooms, five baths, and a two-car garage. The neighborhood streets include Calypso Street, Chancey Court, Sherwood Drive, Somerset Drive, Deerborn Drive, and Brookstone Place.
California Summit is served by the Capistrano Unified School District which offers highly ranked facilities such as Canyon Vista Elementary School, Don Juan Avila Middle School, and Aliso Niguel High School. The city also has private schools like Van Damme Academy, St. Mary’s, and Aliso Viejo Christian School. This is also the home of Soka University of America which is a private four-year undergrad and grad school that focuses on liberal arts. The university has trails throughout the campus for hiking, running, and walking; it also features a performing arts theater.
You’ll find many stores, restaurants, and services at the Aliso Viejo Town Center. Besides banking, cleaning, and hair services, this center offers stores like Petsmart, Barnes & Noble, Pier 1 Imports, and Planet Design. There are many restaurants here as well such as Little Caesar’s Pizza, Taco Bell, and Romano’s Macaroni Grill.
Laguna Beach is just minutes away and offers many water sports and sunny shores as well as arts, activities, and nighttime entertainment. There are many parks in the Aliso Viejo area including the Aliso and Woods Canyons Regional Park which covers over 3,000 acres of grassy meadows, woodlands, trails, and rolling hills.
